Case Study

An amicable divorce

Client

Two existing clients decided that their marriage was ill suited for both. Whilst the decision was amicable, they wanted to reach a fair decision and move on quickly.

Problem

Both were high earners with jointly and personally owned assets so ensuring a fair and appropriate division was of the highest priority.

Solution

We significantly reduced their legal bills as we were able to expedite the process through our intimate knowledge of their financial affairs. In the end, we retained them both as clients, but created a strict “Chinese Wall” to protect their privacy and confidentiality. This is an unusual outcome, but it is a testament to the clients that they were able to move on, stay friends, and respect each other’s decisions.
