Case Study

Flourishing in a new life

Client

Non-financial spouse in her early-thirties at the time of her divorce with a very young child.

Problem

Our client was going through a life-changing event that involved a large amount of money and major decision-making, but she had never previously been allowed to be involved in household or financial decision-making.

Solution

We helped her compile her Form E, advised her on the legal implications of her divorce, helped her navigate the purchase of a new home and invested the remaining proceeds for her long-term future.

Her son is now 21 and she has successfully remarried. We have been involved in many aspects of her new life including relocating to three jurisdictions (The Middle East, Asia and Europe). We have seen her flourish from a young woman into a mature, financially sophisticated individual. After 20+ years of working together, she is now an active and willing participant in the discussions of her portfolio, as well as other tax and legal matters.
